A Round-Up of New Additions to The Quay Sarasota
Downtown Sarasota has long been a cornerstone of Florida’s Cultural Coast, celebrated for its top-rated dining, fashion boutiques, and vibrant arts scene. Now, even more excitement is unfolding at The Quay, an emerging waterfront district adjacent to the Boulevard of the Arts. The Quay Sarasota spans 14 acres and is designed to seamlessly extend the Downtown Sarasota lifestyle. This burgeoning neighborhood is set to introduce a mix of luxury residential spaces, upscale retail outlets, boutique hotels, and more, all nestled along the picturesque Sarasota Bay shoreline. Ocean Prime
A two-story, 9,500-square-foot seafood restaurant will be opening in late 2024 within The Quay. Ocean Prime will feature outdoor terraces on both floors, 350 seats, two bars, and two private dining rooms. Chef Cameron Mitchell is creating a menu filled with fresh seafood, oysters, sushi, and steak entrees.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay
Site preparations are underway for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay, setting the stage for construction to start later this year. This luxury condominium will offer 78 residences with stunning harbor views, ranging from 3,500 to just under 6,000 sq. ft. Each residence will include expansive terraces and furniture-ready interiors, all complemented by the exceptional level of service The Ritz-Carlton is renowned for.
The Quay Harbor Marina Slip Construction
Construction of new docks and marina slips at The Quay Harbor are well underway with completion scheduled for this year. The current work is being completed at the south end of the harbor near the existing Ritz-Carlton Residences Sarasota. Kolter Urban is also reimagining the marina at the north end of The Quay’s harbor in concert with the development of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay. The Hyatt Hotel currently on the waterfront will be replaced with a second Ritz-Carlton residential tower in a future phase. Additionally, Kolter Urban has unveiled plans for The Harbor Club, a 20,000-square-foot amenity campus offering exclusive entertainment and wellness amenities for Members and owners at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay.
The Harbor Club will also be developed in concert with the phased residential construction. The impressive roster of amenities will include a Wellness Center with Vitality Plunge Pools, sauna and steam rooms, and spa treatment areas offering a variety of services. Multiple fitness centers will be equipped with dedicated movement studios, cardio rooms, and private training rooms. The campus will also include theater-style screening rooms, a sports simulator gaming room, a Kid’s Club, a sunrise-to-sundae beverage bar, and more for families to enjoy. A private service kitchen will serve curated menus delivered directly to residences or anywhere within The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota Bay campus. Residents will also have access to a small watercraft launch and day docks, with a dock master on-site to assist with launching into Sarasota Bay or scheduling charters for convenient pick-up.

Hyatt Centric Hotel & Private Residences
A new hospitality and residential building has been proposed to the City of Sarasota for the corner of Quay Commons and Boulevard of the Arts. As a popular hotel brand in the World of Hyatt portfolio, the Hyatt Centric Sarasota will bring additional entertainment and dining venues to The Quay. Plans include two new restaurants, including space on the ground floor and a harborside light bites venue. An elevated pool deck will also feature an artisanal coffee bar, a day spa, and gathering spaces for private events.
Cordelia Retail & Dining
Cordelia, a 12-story mixed-use project within The Quay, is expected to be move-in ready this month and fully completed by the end of the year. In addition to its residential component, Cordelia will feature 14,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. While tenants have yet to be announced, the development team aims to secure three commercial brands for the retail spaces and a fine dining establishment for the large restaurant area.
The Bay Park Sarasota Phase II
Located directly across from The Quay, The Bay is a transformative 53-acre park that has revitalized the shoreline into a premier destination for generations to come. Currently, design efforts for the four projects within Phase 2 are underway, with construction expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This phase will introduce a new performing arts center, a sunset pier with fishing and paddling spots, a town square, day docks, and waterfront restaurants.
New Art Centric Dining Venues
Adjacent to The Quay, Sarasota’s Rosemary District is welcoming with new additions. Café Arts, a new indoor/outdoor coffee shop, offers a wide selection of coffees, teas, light bites, and alcoholic beverages. The venue collaborates with local artists to display a vibrant array of artwork on its walls, all available for purchase. Additionally, Arts & Central has recently opened, featuring a spacious backyard for alfresco dining and dishes made from the freshest ingredients sourced from both land and sea.
